Syrian Rice

 

Syrian Rice

2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 cup of raw rice
2 cups of beef bouillon
1 clove garlic, mashed

Heat olive oil in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Add rice and stir until every grain is coated, but do not brown. Add bouillon and garlic and bake in 375ºF. oven until the rice has absorbed all the liquid and has a slight crust on top, about 45  minutes. This can stand in the oven with the heat turned down almost indefinitely. Serves 4
