Hot Cranberry Wine Cider Toddy

3 cups of cranberry juice cocktail
1/4 cup of frozen orange juice concentrate
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon of almond extract
1 cup of Zinfandel wine
Thin orange slices, optional


In a 2-quart pan over medium heat, mix cranberry juice, orange juice concentrate, sugar, extract, and wine. Cook uncovered until hot (about 6-7 minutes). Pour cider into mugs; garnish with orange slices. Makes approximately 4-5 servings (6 ounces each).
