1/2 cup of super fine sugar 1 large lemon, thinly sliced and seeded 1/2 cup of orange liqueur 1/2 gallon of Rhine wine, chilled Ice one 12 ounce bottle club soda, chilled |

Sprinkle sugar over lemon slices. Press lemon slices with back of spoon to release flavor. Stir in orange liqueur. Chill. Stir in wine; pour over ice in punch bowl. Add club soda, stir lightly to blend. 18 servings
