Wedding Punch

3 cups of sugar
6 cups of boiling water
1/4 cup of green tea leaves
3 cups of fresh or prepared orange juice
1 cup of fresh or frozen lemon juice
3 cups of pineapple juice
food coloring, optional
1 1/2 quarts of ginger ale


Combine the sugar and 3 cups of boiling water, stir until sugar is dissolved. Boil about 7 minutes, do not stir. Pour remaining boiling water over tea leaves, cover and let steep about 5 minutes. Strain and cool. Combine fruit juices, sugar mixture, tea and food coloring. Add ginger ale and enough ice cubes to keep chilled. Makes 1 gallon
