3 tablespoons of sesame seeds 1 cup of flour 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon of mustard powder 1/2 cup of butter, softened 1/2 pound of sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
In a skillet over low heat, toast the seeds. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cayenne pepper, mustard, butter and Cheddar cheese. Form a stiff dough. Roll dough into 1 tablespoon size balls. Dip balls in seeds. Place balls on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Press balls to flatten, using bottom of glass dipped in flour. Bake at 350ºF. for 10 minutes until golden. Cool on wire rack. Makes about 3 dozen
