| | Fat Free Pita Party Pizzas
1/2 cup of Italian style tomato paste with garlic 4whole wheat or oat bran pita pockets (6 inch rounds) 1 cup of shredded nonfat or reduced fat mozzarella cheese 1/4 cup of sliced fresh mushrooms 2 thin slices of onion, separated into rings 1 teaspoon of dried Italian seasoning 2 tablespoons of grated nonfat or reduced fat parmesan cheese
Spread 1/4 of the tomato paste on top of each pita pocket. Top with 1/4 of the mozzarella cheese followed by 1/4 of the mushrooms and a few onion rings. Sprinkle with 1/4 of the Italian seasoning and the Parmesan cheese.
Place the pita pizza on a baking sheet, and bake at 450ºF. for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned. Cut each pizza into 8 pieces, transfer to a serving platter, and serve hot.
