| | Pickled Peaches
1 cup of sugar 1 cup of vinegar 1 cup of water 3 quarts of Indian peaches, peeled Cloves
Combine the sugar, vinegar and water in a saucepan and bring to boiling point, stirring frequently. Stud each peach with 2 cloves and add to the syrup. Cook until peaches are tender. Pack the peaches in sterilized jars and cover with syrup. |
