Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms

3/4 pound of medium size fresh mushrooms, rinsed and dried
7 tablespoons of butter or margarine, melted
one 7 1/2 ounce can if crabmeat or tuna, drained and flaked
2 eggs, lightly beaten
4 tablespoons of soft bread crumbs
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
2 tablespoons of chopped chives, scallion or onion
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon of ground white pepper
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons of soft bread crumbs



Preheat oven to 375ºF. Remove stems from mushrooms and chop finely and set aside.
Brush the mushroom caps with 7 tablespoons butter; arrange on lightly greased baking pan.
In small bowl combine remaining ingredients except 1 tablespoon butter and 2 tablespoons bread crumbs.
Fill each cap with some of the mixture. Combine reserved butter  and bread crumbs. Sprinkle over stuffed mushrooms. Bake for 15 minutes. Makes 15 to 20 mushroom caps
