| | Green Salad with Pears & Pecans
1/4 cup of mayonnaise 1/4 cup of sour cream 3/4 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar 1 tablespoon of olive oil 1 tablespoon of finely minced onion 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper salt to taste 1 bag (10 ounces) of mixed salad greens 2 ripe pears, cored and thinly sliced 1 cup (4 ounces) of finely shredded Swiss cheese 1/2 cup of pecans, toasted Pomegranate seeds, optional
Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, oil, onion, pepper and salt in a small bowl. Blend well and set aside. Arrange the greens evenly on four plates. Place pear slices around edges of plates. Sprinkle cheese and pecans over greens. Drizzle dressing evenly over salads. Garnish with pomegranate seeds, if desired. Makes 4 servings
