2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin 1/4 cup of cold water 1 cup of boiling water juice of 1 lemon a dash of hot pepper sauce 1 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper 1 teaspoon of onion juice 2 1/2 cups of mashed avocado pulp (2 or 3 avocados) 1 cup of sour cream 1 cup of mayonnaise or salad dressing
Soften the gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add lemon juice, hot pepper sauce, salt, pepper and onion juice. Cool. Stir in mashed avocado, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Beat to blend. Pour into 1 1/2 quart mold. Chill until firm. Unmold and serve on greens. Makes 8 servings
