All Bran Muffins

1 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of sugar
1 1/2 cup of all bran cereal
1 1/2 cup of milk
1 egg
1/2 cup of vegetable oil

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together and set aside. Measure cereal into a large bowl and pour milk over it. Stir to combine. Let stand for 2 minutes or until cereal is softened. Add egg and oil. Beat well. add flour mixture, stirring only until combined. Raisins may be added, if desired. Pour batter into 12 greased muffin pan cups. Bake at 400ºF. for 18 to 20 minutes.
