1 cup of shortening 3/4 cup of sugar 1 cup of all bran cereal 1 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 cup of boiling water 2 eggs, well beaten 2 package of dry yeast 1 cup of lukewarm water 6 1/2 cups of flour
Put shortening, sugar, all Bran and salt in mixing bowl. Add boiling water and stir until shortening is melted. Add beaten eggs and yeast which has been dissolved in warm water. Mix until smooth. add flour gradually, mixing thoroughly. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. Roll out dough on floured surface. Cut with biscuit cutter. Cover center of each roll with melted butter or margarine, fold over. Arrange Parker House style rolls on greased pan. (Or make any shape you prefer.) Let rise about 2 hours, or until double in bulk. Bake in moderate 350ºF. oven for about 30 minutes.
