Oatmeal Drop Biscuits

1 cup of all purpose flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1/4 cup of shortening
1 cup of quick cooking rolled oats
1 beaten egg
1/3 cup of milk Basic-Recipes.com9/17/06
2 tablespoons of honey  

Stir thoroughly the flour, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Cut in shortening till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats. Combine the egg, milk, and honey; add all at once to dry mixture. Stir just till moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 425ºF. for 8 - 10 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits
