| HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN BREAD
1 1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of shortening
2 eggs
1 2/3 cup of flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
1/2 cup of water
1 cup of pumpkin, cooked, pureed or canned (bake Halloween pumpkin at 350ºF. until soft, beat or food process)
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts

Blend together first 9 ingredients. Add water, pumpkin and walnuts. Bake at 350ºF. in loaf pan for 55 minutes or in 4 small pans about 35 minutes until wood pick in center comes out clean. |
