Baked Beans

Baked Beans

1 large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon of bacon fat
three 1 pound cans of Boston style baked beans with pork
1 teaspoon of dry mustard
2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup of maple syrup
6 slices of bacon

Fry the bacon fat until well browned. Add beans, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and syrup and mix well. Take care not to break up the pork too much. Divide beans into 6 individual 1 cup casseroles. Cut bacon slices in half and lay 2 halves over beans in each casserole. Bake in 400ºF. oven until bacon is crisp. If not crisp in 30 minutes, run casseroles under the broiler to crisp bacon quickly. Serves 6
