Chicken and Asparagus Casserole

 

Chicken and Asparagus Casserole

1 pkg. of frozen asparagus spears or 1 large can
3 cooked chicken breasts, sliced
2 tablespoons of butter
3 tablespoons of flour
1/2 cup of white wine
1/2 cup of chicken stock
4 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese

Cook the asparagus according to directions. Drain and place in shallow baking dish. Arrange chicken slices on asparagus. Cover with sauce made by melting butter and stirring  in flour. Add wine and chicken stock slowly. Add 2 tablespoons of cheese and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of cheese over top and bake in 350ºF. oven for 20 minutes or until heated through. Serves 2 -3
