Frankfurter and Noodle Casserole


 

Frankfurter and Noodle Casserole

1/2 pound of flat noodles
1 pound of frankfurters
1 tablespoon of butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 pound of Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 can of condensed tomato soup
1 cup of water
1/2 teaspoon of salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste


Cook the noodles in boiling, salted water for 8 minutes. Drain. Cut frankfurters into long, thin slices. Brown in butter with the onion. Add the remaining ingredients and cook together, stirring occasionally, until cheese melts. Combine with noodles in a 2 quart casserole and bake in 400 oven for 20 - 25 minutes. Serves 4
