Low Calorie Turkey Apple Casserole

 

 

 

Low Calorie Turkey Apple Casserole

Categories: Low Calorie, Casserole, Turkey, Apple

Sauté until soft:
2 tablespoons of margarine
3 tablespoons of  minced onion

Stir in:
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
2 teaspoons of curry powder
1/4 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/4 cup of turkey broth
2 cups of pineapple juice

Heat almost to boiling and add:
2 cups of soft bread crumbs
3 cups of diced unpeeled red apples
3 cups of cubed cooked turkey

Remove from heat and turn into casserole. Sprinkle with 1/4 c. buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 400ºF. for 20 minutes. Serves 5 to 6.
