Wide Noodles Casserole

 

Wide Noodles Casserole

1 medium package of wide noodles (1/2 inch)
1 pound of ground beef
1/2 pound of ground pork
1 can of mushrooms
1 can of whole kernel corn, drained  
2 cans of tomato sauce
2 tablespoons of cumin powder
Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon of salt
pepper to taste
1 clove garlic, chopped


 

Fry the meat in pan until crumbly and medium done. If meat is lean, extra fat must be added to pan, if it contains too much fat, excess must be removed. Add onion and garlic, sauté. Add the tomato sauce, mushrooms, corn, cumin powder, salt and pepper. Mix and add cooked noodles, pour into greased casserole. Sprinkle grated cheese on top and bake in 350ºF. oven for 30 minutes. Serves 6
