Baked Steak Patties

1 pound of ground beef
1/2 pound of pork sausage meat
2 cups of cooked white rice
1 egg
6 bacon slices
1 package (1 3/8 ounces) of onion soup mix
3 cups of water
2 tablespoons of flour




Combine ground beef, sausage, rice, and egg. Shape to form 6 patties. wrap  each with a bacon slice; secure with wooden pick. Place in an 11x7 inch baking dish.
Bake, uncovered at 350ºF. for 30 minutes; drain off excess fat.
Meanwhile, combine soup mix and 2 1/2 cups of water in a saucepan. Cook, covered, 10 minutes.
Mix the remaining 1/2 cup water and flour until smooth. Gradually add to soup mixture, stirring until thickened.
Pour over steak patties and bake an additional 20 minutes. remove picks before serving. 6 servings
