1 pound of ground beef 2 cups of sliced carrots 1 can of green peas with liquid 1/2 cup of onions 1 1/2 cup of water 1/4 teaspoon of pepper 3/4 cup of uncooked rice
Sauté the ground beef in 1 tablespoon of margarine or butter. Add onions. Cook until tender. Drain off excess fat and add carrots, peas, water, salt, pepper and rice. Bring to a boil. Lower heat. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes until rice and vegetables are done. Pour into a 2 quart casserole and place in oven for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika and serve warm. More water may be added. Serves 8
