English Beef Pie

one 2 pound round steak
3 tablespoons of flour
3 tablespoons of fat
2 onions, sliced
2 cups of boiling water
2 teaspoons of salt
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
2 cups of canned tomatoes
1 1/2 cups of sliced carrots
3 cups of sliced potatoes
1 recipe biscuit dough



Cut the steak in 1inch cubes and dredge with flour. Brown in fat in a skillet. Add onions and cook until soft. Add the water and cover. Simmer for 30 minutes or until steak is almost done. Add the remaining ingredients except biscuit dough and cover. Simmer until vegetables are done, then place steak and vegetables in a greased 2 quart casserole. Thicken stick with additional flour blended with water and pour over steak mixture. Roll out biscuit dough to fit casserole and place over steak mixture. Bake at 425ºF. for 20 to 25 minutes. 6 servings
