Lazy Beef Casserole

 

Lazy Beef Casserole

1 pound of lean beef chuck, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
1/2 cup of red wine
one 10 1/2 ounce can of consommé, undiluted
1/4 cup of all purpose flour
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup of fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon of rosemary




Put meat in a casserole with the wine, consommé, pepper, rosemary, and onion. Mix flour and bread crumbs and stir into the liquid. Cover and bake at 300ºF. for about 3 hours. Serve with rice or noodles. 206 calories per serving
