2 1/2 pounds of stewing beef 1/2 cup of butter 2 1/2 cups of chopped celery 1 1/2 cups of chopped onion 1 cup of chopped green pepper 1/3 cup of lemon juice 2 cups of beef stock 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 1/2 teaspoons of dill weed salt to taste 1 1/2 cups of sour cream 3 tablespoons of butter, softened 3 tablespoons of flour 1 medium package of noodles
Lightly brown beef in butter. Add vegetables, liquid and seasoning. Cover and simmer on low for 2 hours. Add sour cream and simmer, uncovered for 30 minutes. Combine flour and butter, add by spoonfuls to bubbling mixture. Simmer for 10 minutes and serve on prepared noodles. |
