2 tablespoons of vegetable oil 1 onion, chopped one 15 ounce can of tamales in chili gravy one 15 ounce can of chili without beans one 15 ounce can of chili with beans 1/4 teaspoon of oregano 1/2 cup of Monterey Jack cheese, shredded |

In a skillet heat oil, sauté onion until tender, transfer to Oven Proof Baking Dish . Unwrap tamales, arrange 1/2 over onions. Add the 2 cans of chili, sprinkle with oregano, top with remaining tamales . Bake at 350ºF. for 30 minutes or until bubbling hot. Remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese, bake for 15 minutes longer, or until cheese has melted. Serves 4 |
