Fruit Cocktail Cake
1 1/2 cup of sugar 1 medium can fruit cocktail, slightly drained 2 eggs 2 cups of flour 2 teaspoons of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Mix above ingredients. Pour into an ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped nuts and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Bake 45 minutes. Let sit for 15 minutes after removing from oven, then pour sauce evenly over. |

Sauce:
1 1/2 cup of sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1 cup of evaporated milk 1 1/2 sticks oleo
Mix all together. Bring to boil and then turn off heat. Fruit Cocktail Cake
1 cup of sugar 1 1/2 cup of flour 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1 can fruit cocktail 1 egg brown sugar
Mix fruit cocktail with dry ingredients. Add egg. Pour batter into greased cake pan. Sprinkle top with brown sugar. Bake about 40-45 minutes. Good plain or with whipped cream. |
