| German Fruit Cocktail Cake
1 1/2 cup of sugar 2 teaspoons of soda 2 eggs 1 teaspoon of vanilla 2 cups of flour 1/4 teaspoon of salt 1 (#303) can fruit cocktail, juice and all |

Mix dry ingredients and add fruit and eggs. Mix well. Pour in greased pan and put 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup chopped nuts on top. Bake at 325ºF. for 40 minutes.
TOPPING: 1 stick of butter 3/4 cup of evaporated milk 3/4 cup of sugar 1 cup of coconut
Boil for 2 minutes before adding coconut. Then pour over hot cake. |
