Rhubarb Fruit Cocktail Cake

2 1/2 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
2 teaspoons of baking soda
2 cups of sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of oil
2 cups of cut  up rhubarb
1 pound 13 ounce can of fruit cocktail, drained
1 cup of nuts, chopped



Pour hot water over rhubarb. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar together. Add eggs, oil, fruit cocktail and the drained rhubarb. Use 9"x13" greased and floured pan and bake at 350 ºF. for 40 to 50 minutes.
