| Hearty Beef & Cabbage Stew 1 pound of ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 40 ounce can of tomatoes 2 cups of water 15 ounce can of kidney beans 1 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of pepper 1 tablespoon of chili powder 1/2 cup of chopped celery 2 cups of thinly sliced cabbage

Sauté the beef in a skillet. Drain. Combine all of the ingredients except the cabbage in a slow cooker. Cover. Cook on LOW for 3 hours. Add the cabbage. Cook on HIGH for 30 - 60 minutes longer. Makes 8 servings
