Pot Roast of Beef

one 3 to 4  pound boneless beef rump roast
1/2 cup of water or beef broth
1 teaspoon of salt
3 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
2 large carrots, thinly sliced
1 onion, sliced
1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper Re

 

Place the vegetables in the bottom of stoneware. Sat and pepper meat, then place in pot on top of vegetables. Add liquid. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours
