4 turnips, peeled and quartered, about 20 ounces 4 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered, about 24 ounces 1/4 cup of chopped onion 5 to 6 cups of water 1/4 cup of half and half 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter, room temperature 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper
In a slow cooker, combine the turnips, potatoes and onion. Cover with water. Cover and cook on HIGH about 4 hours, margarine or butter, salt and pepper. Beat until fluffy. Makes 6 servings
