1 cup of uncooked brown rice 1 1/2 cups of apple juice or cider one 10 1/2 ounce can of condensed chicken broth 1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped 1/3 cup of golden raisins 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts 1 tablespoon of brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours or until rice is tender. Makes 4 to 6 servings
