| Vegetable Bean Soup 6 cups of cooked beans, navy, pinto, Great Northern, etc. 1 meaty ham bone 1 cup of cooked ham, diced 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder 1 small bay leaf 1 cup of cubed potatoes 1 cup of chopped onions 1 cup of chopped celery 1 cup of chopped carrots water
Combine all of the ingredients except the water in a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker. Add the water to about 1 inch from the top. Cover. Cook on LOW 5 - 8 hours. Remove the bay leaf before servings. Makes 6 - 8 servings |
