1/2 cup of corn oil margarine, softened 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1 cup of nonfat plain yogurt 1 1/2 cup of sugar 4 egg whites Basic-Recipes.com 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1 1/2 cup of sifted flour 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 2 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon
Spray a 9 inch square pan with non stick spray containing flour. Mix soda into yogurt, allowing space for foaming. Cream margarine. Add 1 cup sugar, then egg whites and vanilla. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add alternately with yogurt mixture. Mix remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Pour one fourth batter into pan, then sprinkle with one fourth cinnamon sugar mixture. Continue in this manner until all batter and cinnamon sugar mixture is used. Bake at 350ºF. for 30 to 35 minutes. Alternate method: Use tube pan, layering as above. Cinnamon sugar mixture that is left can be used to sprinkle on top of warm cake that has been turned onto serving place.
