1/2 cup of hot firm cooked enriched rice 1 cup of chicken broth, reduced to 1/4 cup 1/2 teaspoon of dehydrated onion flakes 1 teaspoon of minced parsley salt and pepper a few drops of sherry extract 1 teaspoon of margarine 4 ounces of uncooked green peas
Combine all ingredients in small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes or until peas are soft. Remove cover and continue cooking if rice and peas are too moist. Makes 1 serving; multiply ingredients by number you wish to serve. |
