| | Sugar Free Cheddar, Bacon & Olive Bread
2 cups plus 3 tablespoons of whole wheat flour 2 teaspoons of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda 1 teaspoon of mustard powder a dash of cayenne powder 2 tablespoons of honey 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil 1 egg 1 cup of milk 1 tablespoon of vinegar 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce 1 cup of grated Cheddar cheese 5 pieces of bacon, crumbled 1 cup of chopped olives
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, mustard powder and cayenne powder. In small bowl, mix honey, oil, egg, milk, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce until well blended. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir in cheddar cheese, then bacon, then olives. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 375ºF. for 30 - 40 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool. |
