| | Sugar Free Whole Wheat English Muffin Loaves
5 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour 2 packages of yeast 2 teaspoons of salt 3/4 cup of instant milk powder 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda 1 tablespoon of honey 3 cups of water Corn meal
Combine 3 cups of flour, yeast, salt, milk powder, and baking soda in a large bowl. Heat honey and water to about 120º - 130ºF. Add this water to the flour mixture and beat well. Stir in the rest of the flour. Spoon dough into 2 greased loaf pans that have been sprinkled with corn meal. Sprinkle tops of loaves with corn meal. Cover and let rise about 45 minutes. Bake at 400ºF. for 25 minutes. Remove from pans and let cool. |
