Easy Black Forest Torte
4 to 5 cups of miniature marshmallows
1 package (18 1/4 ounces) of chocolate cake mix
1 can (21 ounces) of cherry pie filling
1 carton (8 ounces) of frozen whipped topping, thawed
Sprinkle marshmallows in a greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Prepare
cake batter according to package directions; pour over the marshmallows.
Spoon pie filling over batter. Bake at 350ºF. for 1 hour or until a
toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool. frost with
whipped topping. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: 12 - 16 servings |
