Hot Cider

2 cups of apple cider (500 ml)
Three 3 inch cinnamon sticks 2 (7,5-cm)
1/2 teaspoon of whole cloves (2mL)
1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg (1/2mL)
2 envelopes of aspartame sweetener
2 teaspoons of rum flavoring (10mL)

In a small saucepan, heat the apple cider, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves and nutmeg until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from heat; then remove cinnamon sticks and while cloves. Stir in aspartame sweetener and rum flavoring. Pour into preheated two preheated cups or mugs. To preheat mugs: Pour boiling or very hot water into mugs, allow to stand for 1 to 2 minutes, then pour out hot water and fill with drink.
