Vanilla Yogurt Bavarian

1 envelope of unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup of skim milk
1 cup (1/2 pint) of vanilla yogurt
2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
2 egg whites, room temperature
2 tablespoons of sugar
Vanilla Poached Pears with Strawberries

In a small saucepan combine the gelatin and milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until gelatin is dissolved.
Remove from heat, stir in yogurt and vanilla extract. Pour into bowl, cover. Refrigerate until slightly thickened. In a small bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Add sugar gradually, beating until stiff. Fold whites into gelatin mixture.
Pour mixture into a 4 cup mold, cover with plastic wrap or foil, refrigerate until firm. Unmold on chilled plate and serve with Vanilla Poached pears with Strawberries. Garnish with sliced strawberries, if desired. Makes 6 servings
