1 pound of round steak, cut in strips shortening 1/4 cup of chopped onion 1 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of pepper 2 tablespoons of flour 1 1/2 cups of tomato juice 1 tablespoon of lemon juice 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
Brown steak in small amount of hot shortening; sprinkle with onion, salt, pepper, and add tomato juice; cover and simmer for one hour. Stir lemon into milk; add to meat, heat but do not bring to boil. Serve over noodles.
