1 pound of ground beef 2 teaspoons of instant minced onion 2 teaspoons of chili powder 1 teaspoon of dried oregano leaves One 10 3/4 ounce can of condensed tomato soup One 16 ounce can of sliced carrots, drained One 12 ounce can of vacuum-pack whole kernel corn Sesame Topping (below)
Heat oven to 400ºF. Cook and stir ground beef over medium heat until light brown; drain. Place beef in ungreased baking dish, 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches. Stir in onion, chili powder, oregano, soup, carrots and corn. Drop Sesame Topping by teaspoonfuls around edges of baking dish. Bake uncovered until topping is golden brown, about 15 minutes. 6 servings.
SESAME TOPPING:
1 cup of biscuit baking mix 1/4 cup of butter or margarine, softened 3 tablespoons of boiling water 2 tablespoons of sesame seed
Mix all ingredients until a soft dough forms. S-t-r-e-e-t-c-h it two ways! You can make Sesame Topping double as a pie crust. Pat the dough with floured hands into a 9 inch pie plate, bringing the pastry to the edge of the pan. Flute the edge if you like; do not prick. Bake in a 450ºF. oven for 10 minutes. Cool, and it's ready for your favorite filling.
