Meat Balls Geneva

2 pounds of lean beef ground
3 cups of soft bread crumbs
2 eggs
one 1 pound can of applesauce Basic-Recipes.com 9/19/06
1/4 cup of minced onion
2 teaspoons of salt
2/3 cup of catsup
1/2 cup of water

 

Combine all of the ingredients except the catsup and water, mix lightly. Shape into balls about 2 inches in diameter. Brown on both sides in a small amount of hot fat or oil; place in baking dish. Combine the catsup and water; pour over meat balls. Cover and bake at 350ºF.  for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Makes 6 - 8 servings
