1/2 cup of soy sauce 1 or 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons of firmly packed brown sugar 1 tomato 1 green pepper 8 French rolls or hamburger buns 1/2 cup of water 2 teaspoons of grated French ginger 3 pounds of ground round 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
Combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger, water, Worcestershire and sugar. Shape beef patties and marinate for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Lift patties, drain and grill. Baste several times while cooking. Dip rolls in reserve marinade and serve hamburgers with thin slices of tomato and green pepper.
