Lamb Curry 2

Lamb Curry 2

1 1/2 pounds of boneless lamb
3 onions
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons of curry powder
1/2 cup off sliced almonds
4 teaspoons of butter
1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1 cup of sour cream
salt and pepper

Chop the onions and garlic and sauté in a little butter until soft. Cut the meat into 1 1/2 inch cubes and brown on all sides in butter. Put all ingredients into a casserole, except for the almonds, and bake in an oven preheated to 350ºF. for 1 1/2 hours. Add the almonds about 15 minutes before serving. Serve with rice.

You can really be adventurous when seasoning a curry. Add a few tablespoons of crystallized ginger or grated coconut. Or toss in a few cardomon pods, ground coriander or cloves. And there are lots of vegetables that would be delicious cooked with the meat.
