1 pound of ground beef 1 package of spaghetti sauce mix 1 pint of cottage cheese 1 package (8 ounce) of narrow egg noodles 4 cups of tomatoes, chopped 8 ounces of mozzarella cheese, grated
Brown the ground beef in a kettle, stirring until crumbly; drain. Spread evenly over the bottom of the kettle. Sprinkle 1/2 of the spaghetti sauce mix over the beef. Layer cottage cheese, noodles, remaining spaghetti sauce mix, tomatoes and 1 1/2 cup of water over ground beef. Simmer, covered, for 27 minutes, without stirring. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over top. Cook for 3 minutes longer. Serves 4 to 6. |
