1 pound of ground round steak 1/2 pound of ground pork 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon of pepper 1/2 teaspoon of allspice 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves 1/8 teaspoon of ground ginger 1 cup of fine, dry bread crumbs 3 tablespoons of butter |

Combine all ingredients except 1/4 cup of bread crumbs and butter, shape into 1 inch balls. Roll meat balls in remaining crumbs, brown in butter, shaking pan frequently to brown evenly. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. 6 servings
