Pennsylvania Dutch Pot Roast

3 1/2 to 4 pound 7-bone beef pot roast, or a similar cut, ie. chuck, rump
1 package of Lawry's Pot Roast Seasoning mix, or your favorite
1 medium onion, thinly sliced in rings
2 green apples, peeled and sliced, 1/2 inch thick
1/4 cup of water 

Place meat on a piece of aluminum foil large enough to wrap the meat, sprinkle with pot roast seasoning mix,. Add a layer of onion rings and apples on the meat, wrap securely and place in roasting pan. Bake in 350ºF. oven for 3 hours. Makes 6 to 8 servings
