Autumn Harvest Sausage & Cabbage

one 12 ounce package of reduced fat pork sausage
8 cups of chopped red cabbage ( 1 small head)
3 potatoes, diced
3 apples, diced
1 onion, sliced
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of white vinegar
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves




Cook sausage in large nonstick skillet over medium high heat until no longer pink, stirring to separate, drain fat. Combine sausage and remaining ingredients in large bowl, mix well. Spoon mixture into slow cooker. Cover, cook on LOW 8 - 10 hours or until potatoes are tender. 6 -8 servings
