| Bratwurst and Sauerkraut
One quart. (32 oz.) sauerkraut Two 12 ounce cans of beer 1 large onion, diced 1 medium potato, grated 1-2 tablespoon of brown sugar 1 apple, peeled and diced 1 teaspoon of caraway seed (optional) 6 bratwurst cooked on grill |
| Place sauerkraut in a large saucepan. Stir in onion, potato, apple, brown sugar and caraway. Pour beer over the sauerkraut. Simmer uncovered 45 minutes. Meanwhile, grill the bratwursts. Add bratwurst to the sauerkraut, cover and simmer 15 minutes. |
